United Goodyear Fire Fighters Charities
UGFF Charities Mission
The United Goodyear Fire Fighters Charities have been a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization since 2007. We take pride in the professionalism, integrity, and honor of our community through relationships and partnerships. We have teamed up with community leaders, private businesses, Goodyear citizens, and other nonprofits to support and assist people in need while bringing awareness through positive interactions.
The UGFF charities executive board is a diverse group of individuals in all ranks and backgrounds built to meet the needs of our community. We believe in our mission, members, and their families. One of our most highly sought values is relationship; not just within our own local, but locals in the valley and across our nation. We take pride in not only caring for our own, but any IAFF member who wanders into our region. As a group, it is our mission to treat everyone like our family. With our diverse backgrounds and passion to step beside you in all you go through, we are here for you.

Our Charities and Events
Battle of the Paddle (CantaMia Community)
United Goodyear Fire Fighter Charities has partnered up with one of our active retirement communities, CantaMia, for a yearly pickleball tournament. Established in 2022, members of the United Goodyear Fire Fighters “battle” for bragging rights and good times on the court. At the event the residents are able to showcase more than just their quick feet and fast hands like crafts, jewelry, baked goods and more! At the end, we finish with a silent auction of various prizes put together by local businesses and residents. We love partnering with our community and being able to bond over a growing sport.
Fill the Boot MDA
The United Goodyear Fire Fighters Local 4005 members hit the streets and storefronts to raise money every year for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) “Fill the Boot.” The donations from the public go to supporting research for new treatments, MDA Care Center’s, and sending kids to MDA Summer Camp. The MDA is the primary charitable organization formally recognized by the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF).
The Annual Austin Peck Memorial Golf Tournament
United Goodyear Fire Fighters Local 4005 would like to introduce the first Annual Austin Peck Memorial Golf Tournament on Saturday, May 28, 2022! This Memorial Golf Tournament is being held to recognize our brother while bringing awareness for first responders, military personal, and the families battling cancer! We created this event to help sustain and fund our Local 4005 UGFF community programs, raise money/awareness, and an opportunity to invite you and your families to come out and support a great cause!
New Life Shelter Christmas toy drive
United Goodyear Fire Fighters Local 4005 partnered with the New Life Center to collect gifts and donate for the center’s families in need. The new Life Center is one of the Largest domestic violence shelters in the country, with 104 beds. The center provides comprehensive programs using the trauma-informed care model to support these families in starting an independent living. Thanks to your generosity, families impacted by domestic violence will get to experience a happy holiday and have the opportunity to heal from the trauma they have endured. The center can support the survivors and their holiday needs so much more because of all the beautiful donors in our community. Thank you.
